 Calgary Zoo - 2009 Fall Courses Minimize

The Calgary Zoo offers a wide variety of botanical education programs.  I have listed two of the courses being offered this fall.  Other programs include Herbaceous Plant ID, Crash Course in Garden Design, Putting the Garden to Bed and Fabulous Fall Containers, just to name a few!  For more program information and to register visit www.calgaryzoo.ca

Woody Plant ID  
An introduction to the woody plants commonly seen in Calgary.  This 20 hour course is a pre-requesite for the Master Gardener Training Program and Landscape Design Level I.  
Wednesdays Sept 9 to Nov 4, 2009  OR Saturdays Sept 12 to Nov 7,   9:00am to 11:30am  COST: $199.00  
   
Master Gardener Training Program  
This intensive program provides Chinook zone gardeners with comprehensive information for gardening success!  Topics include:

  • Pruning
  • Pests & Diseases
  • Weeds
  • Sustainable Gardening
  • Edible Gardening
  • Garden Design
  • Plant Group Profiles

 Saturdays Nov 14, 2009 to Mar 13, 2010 (2 weeks off for Christmas),   9:00am to 3:30pm  COST: $450.00 (+supplies)
